Medieval History Pack

Make history fun with these great crafts from the Middle Ages!  

This craft pack is a great way to introduce various aspects of Medieval Life: knighthood, art, clothing, feasts, and clothing.

The pack also includes an "Educational Opportunities" Sheet with             facts and extra activity ideas to extend the learning experience.

The Medieval History Pack includes the following crafts:

• Rubber Band Jouster:      

          Create a rubber band car, then color in a knight and mount it on the car for

          jousting fun!

• Knight's Shield:                

          Design your own charge (symbol) and paint it onto a small wooden shield, perfect

          for hanging in your own "Great Hall."

• Jester's Hat:        

          Make a jester's hat out of craft foam, wear it and entertain your family!

• Lavender Sachet: 

           Create a sweet-smelling sachet of lavender to wear as Middle Age people did, or

           to tuck into a clothing drawer.

• Golden Goblet: 

          Paint a goblet with gold paint, then decorate it with jewels.

          (for decorative use only)

• Illuminated Nameplate:       

          Decorate the illuminated initial of your name, then use the calligraphy pen to write

          the rest of your name in calligraphic letters. 

• Medieval Pouch:        

          Use yarn to decorate and sew together burlap pieces to create a pouch like people

          of the Middle Ages used for pockets.

• "Stained Glass" Hanging: 

          Use the pattern and scratch stick to create your own colorful "glass" window.

• Hand Harp:           

          Create and decorate a hand harp. Then experiment with the rubber bands to               

          "play" songs.

• Castle Mobile:           

         Color and hang models of various people who lived at court in a Medieval Castle.
