Outer Space Adventure Craft Pack

Make science fun with 10 space crafts!

This craft pack is a great way to introduce the study of rockets, spacesuits, satellites, planets, stars, and telescopes.

The pack also includes an "Educational Opportunities" Sheet with facts

and extra activity ideas to extend the learning even more.

Bottle Rocket :  Decorate the rocket pattern with markers and tape onto the bottle.                     *WITH ADULT SUPERVISION: Fill the rocket with water and a                               "rocket fuel tablet" (over-the-counter effervescent antacid) to launch                      up to 15 feet into the air!

Refracting Telescope: Put together the lenses and tubes to create an actual working telescope.

Celestial Kaleidoscope: Make and decorate a kaleidoscope filled with star, moon, and planet beads.

Build a Satellite: Build your own satellite with styrofoam, toothpicks, foil, and glass stain.

Star String Art:  Wrap the multicolored string around the plastic pins you stick into the foam star to create a stellar work of art.

Outer Space Mobile: Use markers to decorate stars, moons, planets, and rockets to hang from the planet, then hang in your room.

Fuse Bead Astronaut:   Use the pegboard and fuse beads to create an astronaut pattern.

Space Sand Art: Peel away one section at a time to add brightly colored sand to the space picture until you have a colorful sand masterpiece.

Embossed Rocket Hanging:   Emboss heavy foil with a scene showing a rocket in space. Create and decorate the frame to go around your scene. .

Foam Rocket Shooter: Decorate a foam rocket, then point, aim, and shoot.
